Corporate wellbeing is one of the most vital investments a company can make. Companies that start wellbeing programs not only invest in the physical wellness, safety and mental health of their employees , but also take preventive measures to create a healthier work environment.
There is more to the term well-being than avoiding getting physically ill. It is a holistic bio-psycho-social construct. In summary , the focus in this case is on "being" instead of "doing".
It's becoming increasingly clear to businesses that wellbeing is more than just physical health. HR managers and corporate health providers develop various programs to support holistic well-being.

What is wellbeing?

Gallup scientists have been researching the demands of a well-lived life for years. More recently, in partnership with leading economists, psychologists, and other scholars, they have begun to explore the common elements of wellbeing that transcend our countries and cultures.
As part of this research Gallup conducted a comprehensive global study in more than 150 countries through and have thus the well-being of more than 98% of the world population analyzed. From Afghanistan to Zimbabwe, they have asked hundreds of questions about health, wealth, relationships, jobs, and communities (how people experience their days and assess their lives as a whole).
